 Leopard Mail Messages Not Included in Spotlight Searches Leopard 10.5.2 Mail Messages Not Included in Spotlight Searches I've check the prefs for Spotlight and Mail is checked. Oher items seem to be indexed. I had mail rebuild it's index based on the Help instructions. I've also unchecked MAIL in Spotlight prefs and logged out/in and rechecked MAIL in spotlight prefs. No change. No mail message is included in searches. Any ideas? THANK YOU.  |

| You might need to rebuild your entire Spotlight database. My utility, Mac HelpMate, has a feature to rebuild the Spotlight Index. Just keep in mind it could take some time - perhaps as long as several hours.

| Rebuild the Spotlight index You can do this easily on your own: go to System Preferences and select Spotlight and then Privacy. Add your hard drive and quit the preferences. Now go back in and delete the hard drive (from the Privacy list). Spotlight will recreate its index and "missing" items will sometimes then show up. |
