Can't Open Lacie Drive

A While Back My Internal Hard Drive Crashed On My I-mac. I Had A New One Installed At Macmall & Everything Works Fine, Except Now My Computer Won't Open My Lacie External Hard Drive, Which Is Where I Have Stored All Of My Important Files. It Won't Even Recognize The Drive When I Power It Up. No Icon Appears. I Can't Find It Anywhere (though If I Unplug It From The Computer I Do Get The Dialog Box Telling Me I've Not Put It Away Properly)...
Before The Internal Hard Drive Died I Seem To Remember Setting Some Sort Of Lock In The Lacie's Preferences To Only Allow One User (me) To Access It, But Now That User Is Gone With The Old Hard Drive. Surely It Must Be Possible To Unlock The Lacie Drive And Retrieve The Data... Right? Please Help!!!
