Image Capture stopped working SUDDENLY

After it has been working perfectly already, Image Capture won't scan anymore- it recognize the scanner, but the scan button does not work (I can overview the document, but not to proceed farther on). the Embed ColorSync profile cannot seem to find any profile in the options menu. I installed the TWAIN driver already- I use Xerox WorkCentre 3119 printer/scanner (it prints well, so the scanner is good probably), and OS X 10.4.
