| No Flash Sound I've been experiencing no sound in flash on any browser that I have (Firefox, Safari, etc.) and I've not luck in resolving it. So far I've tried: Changing the MIDI/audio settings to the 44.1 kHz. It was already set to that and fiddling with it produces no better results. Opening and using GarageBand Verifying/Fixing disk permissions Using the Adobe Uninstaller and reinstalling Wiping out the settings directory in ~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia These are all the basic things to try from what I could gather, but they've not improved the situation. All other applications work fine, such as embedded Quicktime, iTunes, etc., so the problem is really only with Flash. Another curious (possibly related) problem is when I go to the plugin settings, if I click on the middle button (folder icon) which should bring up the local storage options, Firefox immidiately dies. Regardless, I'm open to trying anything that may resolve it. I'm afraid a system restore will be necessary, but I'd like to try and avoid that. |

| As I said, everything else is fine. Flash is the only thing that doesn't have sound. |

| First open /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility and with Disk Utility "Repair Permissions". If this doesn't work get the latest Flash Player plugin and it has a deinstall feature, run that. Restart then install the latest Flash Player the "repair Permissions" again. Hopefully this will fix it.

| So take a look into /Library/QuickTime/ and see what plugins you have installed. One of the third party ones might be old & messed up or just plain broken.
