AOL and Mac Mail?

Hello!

I am new here so please forgive me if this has been asked before!
I have just bought myself a lovely Macbook Pro and am a newly converted Mac addict!
I set up my AOL to correlate with my Mac mail but when I check my email through AOL web mail the emails have all vanished
I THINK I am getting them all through via Mac mail but I can't be sure.
Can anyone help with this? Would be most grateful.

When you finished configuring Mail.app to get your AOL mail, did Mail.app successfully download any available mail to the account you'd just set up? Have you had a good look through this particular accounts settings in Mail.app for any clues? Have you tried sending an email to your AOL account to see if it is delivered to your Mail.app inbox?

Well you could just go to Mail's preferences, highlight Accounts then select the "advance" tab. Right by the 'remove now' button is a drop down. You can set it to delete the email from the AOL server after one day, one week, one month or right away.

Plus in Mails main window right click on the Inbox (in the left hand column) and select "Get Account Info" and this will let you peer into AOL's POP server.
