Installing Melody Assistant 7.3.2

When I try to launch Melody X PPC Install, it launches Preview. My Mac does not recognise what application to use to install this software

What Mac are you trying to install it to?
What is the installation file extension?

Installing Melody Assistant 7.3.4

I am running an iMac PowerMac4,5 on OSX 10.4.11.

There is no file extension, The name and extension is simply 'Melody X PPC Install' and the kind is marked as 'Document' but should be 'Application'
