I like total control of my sound.

Audio Hijack Pro = Total control of sound in any application.

MacReporter = A great way to check headlines.

Carbon Copy Cloner = A great way to make a backup that boots.

Meteorologist = A great menu weather program with multiple sources.

I should have also mentioned in my previous post the magnificent Watson. It blows Sherlock away, IMHO.

I just downloaded sofa. it really rocks. it displays the album cover for the currently playing song in iTunes. it also acts as an itunes remote, but I assigned the F1-F5 keys to do that via keyboard maestro.

in any case, sofa rocks. every time a new song comes up, the sofa window maximizes to 192 x 192 and goes to the top left of my left monitor and a white window with the album name, artist name and song name pops up. After a little while the info window fades away and the cover art window minimizes into a 32 x 32 square at the bottom left of my left screen. This is very cool!

I have dual monitor setup - would use on the right side on single monitor setup.

In my first 20 or so days that I have owned a Mac I have purchased all of the following. I have found them all exteremly easy to use and CHEAP.

Little Snitch
Great for monitoring where your apps are trying to communicate on the internet. Shareware $24.95.

Little Snitch Web Site

Taco HTML Editor
Great Freeware HTML editor. Great little app.

Taco HTML Editor Web Site

EasyCrop
Great little image program for a very basic and single use. $5.95

EasyCrop Web Site

Net Monitor
Want to track your Ethernet or Dial up connection and visually see when traffic is going in and out? This app is for you $6.95.

Net Monitor Web Site

Ok unlike most of the people around here I don't use versiontracker. I find the site poor and not a great interface. Sorry i don't mean to tick any one off. I myself really like MacUpdate site. They have a great easy to use and comfortable look. On top of that they have a nice little client called udateradar for only $12.00 to track all your software.
Check it out :
