MS office 2004-2008 coexistence

I have both of these programs running on my Mac with no problems. However anytime I double click on a document Office App 2008 opens it instead of Office App 2004. There apparently no way to make Office 2004 the default which is what I want. I rarely use Office 2008 because of its limitations but I do not want to remove it from my computer. Changing the name of the Office 2008 App to something else doesn't help. Any ideas on how to make Office 2004 the default?

MisterMe will become famous soon enough
  • Click on a Office document. For the sake of argument, let us assume that it is a Word document.
  • Select File > Get Info.
  • Select Open with: Microsoft Word (11.4.2) from the popup menu.
  • Click Change All....

Yes you would think that should work but it does not. Get info will automatically revert back to the 2008 version.
