Hi all, I upgraded my G4 Silver from 10.4.9 to 10.5. I never required myself to login on startup. After up grading to 10.5 the login screen comes up with the only account "Other". Stumped in what to do. I did repair permissions. Any ideas?? Thanks Last edited by midijeep; June 16th, 2008 at 01:45 PM.

If using "other", and you type your username (short or long name) and the password, can you log in or do you get an error?

I get no error. The password goes blank after the computer tries to log in. I even rebooted with the install DVD and changed the password too make sure I know what it is.

| Do you use a US keyboard ? If not, the computer may think you do.

Fixed. Did a archive and install instead of an upgrade. Apple turds red again. They need to go in for a rectal exam/probing to rid of the cancerous tumors in the system.
