iSight stopped working after 10.5.3 update

I have a Macbook I installed OS X 10.5.3 update through DMG file. Since the update the iSight camera has stopped working. The camera does not power on (green light missing). Though the system profiler does show it under USB. It is not working with Photo booth, iChat & Yahoo Msngr.

What could be the problem. Also how do I downgrade the update.

Gaurav

No need to downgrade. Just reset the SMU on your Mac because this is what I had to do when my isight did the same thing. To reset the SMU just disconnect the power supply and then remove the battery. Leave it totally unpowered for 5 minutes the put the battery back in and hook it back up to the power supply. This will probably help because it helped me when I had the same problem. Good Luck.

Did every thing

Setting the SMU, PRAM, reloading the OS upgrade, upgraded quick time, deleted the pref file. Nothing worked.

Then today when booted the Mac the isight was working as if nothing happened yesterday.

weird
