ibook G4 problems with booting up

Hello.

Yesterday I began running updates to my ibook G4 programs. One of the updates was for OS X. That update did not occur properly. I proceeded to restart the computer as asked by the computer. The computer turns on, but when it begins to load the OS X, it doesn't load and the system freezes on that screen.

Please advise.
