    ProTools Won't Open! OSX10.4.11

    Technical prowess: below median
I have an older ProTools setup--Digi 002 rack (H/W) with powered monitors connected. I recently was able to get CPU sounds (Apple Logic/I-Tunes, etc.) routed through the 002 rack (took some machinations for Apple to recognize the H/W). (Prior to this, ProTools was the only S/W that would use the powered monitors--Logic, etc. would only play back through the CPU).
A consequence is that ProTools will not load. It bounces in the tray a couple of times and that's it. Right click to open does nothing. If the Protools H/W (002 rack) is powered off--it used to at least tell me that--it's like it's not installed--it doesn't see it.
Running a "big" MAC 2 X 3 GHz Quad Core Intel Xeon (w/ 8GB RAM); Version 10.4.11; and ProTools 7.3 (I believe--it won't open--disc is Version 7.0--but it seems like there was a free online Digi upgrade).
YES, YES, YES--I HAVE installed the new Digi patch that was specific for 10.4.11--no joy!
    Any help, much appreciated!!!
    Thanks

    Thanks for the Solution Avalanche!

Re-installed both (even 'though I have misplaced the verification code for the upgraded version I had of ProTools [PT]). So, I've an older version now of PT, but both Logic Pro and PT are working.
Thanks for the abundance of impressive responses!

What was the solution to this problem?? It's only showing two posts here. I'm having this same problem with Mac OS 10.4.11 ProTools (7.3) was working fine one day and the next it wouldn't open. I installed a driver for the Presonus Firepod to record some drums into Cubase to import into protools but since then the ProTools icon just bounces in the dock a couple times and then does nothing. I then removed the driver for the Firepod thinking that might have been part of the problem. I also uninstalled ProTools and reinstalled it but nothing seems to be fixing it. Any suggestions??
