Question 10.5.5 looses connection to network drives

Hello;

I am running 10.5.5, I will start the day and be able to access both another mac next to me, and the pc network. However, as the day goes on, I will no longer be able to connect to them. It looses the connection, and when I try to re-connect I just get a "failure". I then need to restart in order to connect to anyone else on the network. Has anybody else had this happen, or does anybody know a solution.

Thank you

Allene

I would first look at your router. When this happens, reboot it first next time. After about 1 min, all the network addresses are assigned again. See if your computer will access without a reboot of its own.
I had this same problem with a Linksys wireless router. I had to update the software in it (I actually went with DD-WRT, instead of the Linksys software).
