Reboot problem in ibook g4

Hi:
I have to begin telling that the ibook has NO problem during the start process. It does it normally. The problem is the reboot with holding the C button in the keyboard. A brief history:
I have an ibook G4 14.1 in with Tiger 10.4.11. In january this year i tried to migrate my info from this ibook to a new imac Leopard 10.5.5 using migration assistant. I followed the steps in the process but when it asked me to restart the old computer (ibook) holding the "T" button until the firewire logo appears, nothing happened in the ibook. I tried several times and nothing, i never got the firewire symbol in the ibook. In that time i assumed a software incompatibility problem and i transferred my info in other way.
A month ago i tried to reboot using the installation dvd and holding the "C" button but nothing happened, the ibook just starts normally (it's like ignoring that i'm holding the C button). I inserted the hardware test cd, i held the C button again and nothing happend. The mac just starts normally.
Can you help me with this?
Thanks,
Franklin.
