iMovieHD to iMovie 08 upgrade.

I just purchased an Intel mac. I moved all the applications from my PPC computer to the Intel machine. I want to upgrade to iMovie 08. However the installer from the iLife CD does not give me the option to install it in custom install. In fact all the apps are greyed out. Easy install installed nothing. So how do I upgrade?
