Help with Fink..

Hi guys,

I've downloaded the binary installer for fink, and I'm under the Leopard OS. I am trying to get the Gnu Fortran compiler g77, but I can't find it. Is it just not available or do I need to add other repos.

Thanks,

Ed.

g77 is most certainly available. Download, install, and use Fink Commander. It takes care of that stuff for you.

You may have to adjust your software sources to allow for unstable apps, as the g77 project screen linked to by MisterMe shows that g77 for 10.5 is only available for Intel-based Macintosh computers in an "unstable" release version.

Are you using an Intel-based Macintosh?

Yeah I just did all of that :\ and I still can't see the g77 package.

$ perl -version
This is perl, v5.8.8 built for darwin-thread-multi-2level
(with 1 registered patch, see perl -V for more detail)

The number of packages seemed to increase but still can't find the g77 package
