Mobile Phone to easy sync with a Mac

Hello,

I am planning to get a new mobile phone. This time I'd like to have one that can easily and reliably sync with my mac's address book and calendar. so far i had a nokia n71 and the hacks for syncing were a little nightmare, the syncing process always destroyed my information on the mac, so i finally stopped using the mobile phone's calendar.

i'm sure iphone will be excelent, but it's no option for me, since here in europe very expensive and with the wrong provider...

can anyone recommend a mobile phone/company that make it easy to sync with a mac?

any recommendations welcome.
