Mac OSX: Tiger. PROBLEMS!! please help. Dock problems

Hi All,

OS X is giving me problems. I've been running it for about 3 years now with no problems until now.

My Dock keeps randomly popping in and out. Even when I have it set to be static. and when I right click on an icon to close the application, the whole dock just disappears and it doesn't close the app at all.

My mouse also double clicks when I click it one time. and when I double click, it clicks 4 times. This just started happening wednesday and I haven't changed any settings, so I can't really troubleshoot it. I tried closing all of my applications, but nothing seems to work.
