| Mail messages lost when I rebuilt
Using Mail 2.1.3 I accidentally clicked Rebuild, and lost all 2008 messages from my Inbox (2007 and 2006 ones are there, and new ones come in OK). Sent box was not affected. The messages seem to be in Users: Library: Mail and inbox.mbox . It was suggested I reinstall Mail, but I don't know how (I don't seem to have an original disc and it doesn't seem to be part of Office 2004). Thanks for your help! Jo Marsh 6048115 |

Howabout File > Import Mailboxes... from within Mail.app, then navigating to the messages?

If the messages are still in the folder /YourhardDrive/Users/YourUserName/Mail/ then download the free program Speedmail. It will re-index your Mail boxes. This may help.
