iPhoto has incorrect dates on import?

Have just tried to use iPhoto for the first time. If I import the photos from my Olympus camera which were taken in November and December, iPhoto dates them all as January. I.E. he gets the day number correct & the year, but not the month.

Are you sure you have your camera set properly for the date? If you don't have it set at all, that would explain why iPhoto is using the current date.

skybolt is correct on date in camera setting-simply go into menus on camera date & time and reset correctly.

For the photos that have already been imported, you can select them, click on Photo on the menubar, then "adjust date & time" and correct it there. Be sure to check "adjust files" (or whatever it says - not at the mac right now so doing this from memory).

Setting your camera will keep things nice and neat in the future.
