| iphoto deleted library
Hi, I was trying to move my iphoto library to an external hd to free space, and it appears that I accidetaly erased the iphoto library. its empty, Can I recover all my photos?? Thank you very much Jose Lew |

1. Stop immediately using the external. This is VERY important! 2. Either buy a software recovery program (like this) or use a service like Drive Savers. Now you know why geeks all the time say backup, backup, backup! This is also the reason Apple developed Time Machine. Also this is why services like Mozy & DropBox have come online too.

Hi, thanks. I managed to recover my iphoto library with time machine, and i had to recover my last photos from a deleted sd card using the photorescue software. It works really well. Thankyou anyway |

When you're moving the library to an external drive, you'll have to start iPhoto holding down the option-key. Otherwise, you can't select a different library - and iPhoto will create a new one in the original's place in ~/Pictures ...
