Changing hard drives??

I am wanting to change my macbook 80gb hard drive to a 320gb one, problem is that I dont have the leopard disc

the 320gb drive is currently in a caddy being used as a portable hard drive

is there any way I could plug the drive in and do a carbon copy of whats on my current (80gb) drive? then swap the drives round

is there any other way around this?

Yeah, it should work. Use Carbon Copy Cloner to copy the data from one drive to another. It will make a bootable copy.
