"Having installed both apps I still do not seem to have ActiveX running."

I am referring to the sentence two lines above where I say: -

"I have just installed VMware Fusion 3.0 and Windows 7."

I am not getting an error message as such - the text at the bottom of the browser is pasted below.

"The list is displayed in Standard view. It cannot be displayed in Datasheet view for one or more of the following reasons: A datasheet component compatible with Windows SharePoint Services is not installed, your browser does not support ActiveX controls, or support for ActiveX controls is disabled."

Datasheets in Sharepoint require ActiveX. It works perfectly on a PC through IE. I have a Mac and so have installed VMware Fusion 3.0 and Windows 7 with the hope that ActiveX would be included - they appear not to be.

I have gone through and enabled all ActiveX settings in IE - but it still does not seem to work.
