how can i format my laptop,it is macbook and the model is A1181,if you should gust tell me the step's and the buttons i should press to make my laptop work i would realy apersiate it,the problem is that i forgot my user password and i can't open my pc, so please help me thank you!!

To reset the password of your user: insert install disc 1 that came with that Mac to the optical tray, and restart the Mac holding down letter C at startup.
At the installation screen, select language, then from the menus Intaller (or Utilities) > Reset Password, and in that dialog select the account you want to reset the password for. After reseting it, restart the Mac normally.

If that was all you want the reinstall for, stop there. No install needed for that.
After booting first time after the password change, open Keychain Access (/Applications/Utilities) and select from menus Keychain Access > Keychain First Aid > select user, and Repair.

If you have other reasons for reinstalling the OS, boot similarly, with C down, to the install disc 1 again, after making sure you have a backup of everything you want to keep.
From the installer menu, continue the installation, and select install type (archive and install, clean install, or upgrade install that will not be an option this time), and select the options you need and install. Prepare 20-60 minutes for finishing the installation.

hi it's me again,with the addminstrater password problem,i have apassword craker and can i use it for the problem i am having,i hold the button 'C' and the black screen came it says start boot cd and boot from hard drive i chose the start boot and i want to password and registery tools to crake it but it says the high memory area (HMA) is not availabel and additional low memory(below 640k)will be used insted and the XMS drive is not found,oh and it has aproblem creating ramdrive,it shows error it says press any key to continue so i press then it came A:\>,what should i do??can i crake it with any password craker or what...???pleas i realy need your help ok thank's i hope you will get back to me soon....

You are apparently trying to use a password cracker for Windows.

Mac OS X is not Windows -- it is architecturally different, and based upon UNIX, which is a 30-year-old operating system. People have been trying to find easy ways to crack UNIX passwords for 30 years, and no one has found a simple solution yet.

You cannot "crack" your password. You must either reset it, or reinstall Mac OS X, both of which the procedures for doing so were outlined specifically by Giaguara.

hi it is me lalem how are u,i have one more quetion to ask,here it goes,i forma the mac by xp dark,and the audio driver is not workin now!what should i do i couldn't found it any where in the market i am liven in ethiopia so it's hard to find any thing here,can u help me???i don't have any money and on top of that i need my laptop to learn my IT class, so plz help me and thank's for every thing ok bye!!
