Until recently, I've been able to enter just the name of a website in the address field of Safari. For example, if I wanted to go to www.apple.com, I used to be able to type in "apple" and hit return; and Safari would enter "www." and ".com" and quickly go the website. I'm not sure what happened, but now Safari won't do this. Did a setting get changed? Please help. |

What happens when you type in "apple"?

I think that this is not actually handled by Safari, but rather by your DNS server. You might want to try using OpenDNS instead of your current DNS server. |

You could always try choosing "Reset Safari" from the Safari menu, which MIGHT help, but Mikuro is probably closer to the actual problem.
