powerbook battery sleep below 70% charge

Hello,
I have an 800mhz titanium powerbook and two batteries. I got the powerbook fairly recently from a friend but notice that when running the computer on the just the batteries without the charger that the laptop will automatically go to sleep and not wake up around the 70% battery full mark. When the charger is attached the batteries default to 0%. Using Coconut battery check I see that both batteries should be still capable of holding a respectable charge.

Any thoughts on this one folks?

Calum

I had the same issue on my PowerBook Pismo G3. The problem was the battery...it had died because i charged it even if there still was 80% in it, so the Jojo effect was dissrupted and caused error you have. Needed to replace the battery
