Mac Os X ibook g4 always hang

When i formated & instal Os X my ibook g4 always hang and need to reinstall Os

Are you using either a retail OS X disc or a system disc that shipped with your iBook G4? If the answer is no to either of these, than this is your problem. The gray system discs only work on the Macs that they originally shipped with.

What iBook do you exactly have? (More specific; give the deatails about processorspeed modell-identifier) and what do the installerdisks look like; what's written on the diskset?
There could also be an harddrive-problem. Check the disk with a connected firewirecable from another Mac in Target-mode.
