| Sims 2 will not open anymore!
I have had Sims 2 for my G5 IMac, OS X 10.4 and it has run just fine until recently... I put in my disk and try to open the game. The Sims icon comes up on the desktop bar and bounces a few times and then disappears. I have uninstalled it, reinstalled it many times. I have tried installing it on different accounts on the computer and that hasn't worked either. I have rebooted the computer...I can't find anything that has worked for me. I have recently reinstalled OS X 10.4 because I needed to reset username/password for the computer. That is the only thing I have done differently on the comuter besides the usual updates. Any suggestions?? |

I hope you know on a Mac to reset ANY single program to factory default is as easy as moseying to the folder /YourHardDrive/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/ and find the application's preference file. move it out of the folder and the program will reset to factory default (unless you messed will other parts of the program).

| Same Issue, not working
I had the same exact issue with my icon bouncing and never opening. I tried to download the patch many times and it never worked. I installed it and uninstalled it a few times and restarted my computer, and still nothing was fixed. What am I doing wrong?
