The installer didn't erase those. They should be saved in Keychain. They were for me.

They took out a couple of things I liked.
First they took out the fluid progress bar, now there is none at all.
Second they put the refresh button in an annoying spot.....

You can fix both!

To turn on the Progress Meter again, just run these 2 commands in Terminal:

Quote:
defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSafari4IncludeToolbarRedesign -bool NO
and then
Quote:
defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSafari4LoadProgressStyle -bool NO
Then restart Safari. To get the old Stop/Reload button, just right click an empty pixel in the toolbar and choose "Customize Toolbar" and Boom! There it is waitin to get dragged back into place. Where it belongs.

EDIT 1: Come to think of it, just choosing "Uninstall Safari 4" from the installer DMG would do this in one fewer steps.

Works really well for me on my G4. Only little thing I've found so far, when browsing Bookmarks Bar folders in CoverFlow, previews do not automatically appear-- only after I visit a link do they show up.

And can anyone here tell me what checking Auto-Click in Bookmarks Bar is supposed to accomplish? The Help Menu found No Results.

I am grateful for pointum's Secret Safari Tweaks Menu; though it doesn't work perfectly well on the fly, it is worth checking out. Fun to make Google transparent, haven't found that feature to work on any other sites yet.

Autoclick has been there in past versions as well. It makes a folder open as tabs automatically.
