    Email not received

I have an AOL account. I am encountering problems with a business with several different email addresses sent regularly to my account that I do not receive in my Apple Mail inbox or AOL anywhere.

I have contacted AOL and as per their recommendation I have altered the settings to accept all mail as well as adding the email of the contacts at this specific business to my AOL and MAC address books. Still I am not receiving email from the business.

This is a relatively new problem. The business is in Italy, I am in Italy at home using a DSL line.

When I was in the US I received some, but not all, emailed messages from the business. The primary problem seems to be in Italy where I don't receive any emailed messages.

Can you please help me with this problem? I conduct business regularly with this business.

Thanking you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

So with virtually no information to guide them, you expect members of this forum to solve a problem that AOL cannot solve?

It appears that you suspect that this "business" is being flagged as SPAM. Here is the deal--messages from certain businesses get flagged as SPAM upstream of your account. Don't get too wrapped-up in the fact that your US experience is different from your Italian experience. Different countries, difference infrastructure, different laws.

Now that you bring this issue to our attention, it occurs to me that I have had an AOL account since 1992. I receive virtually no SPAM on that account. OTOH, my Yahoo mail is mostly SPAM. That might be a workaround for you. Have that "business" send your "messages" to an email address with less rigorous SPAM blocking.
