    LoginKeychainUpd.dmg (HELP)

You cannot install Login & Keychain Update on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update.

The "above" is the message in dialog box that "installer" shows me on every download of this update. And I've checked to see!
    It isn't installed at all.

My wife is on leopard 10.5.6 with random keychain issues, it seems to not always join the wifi at office or home unless I trash contents of cache folders of
    1./Volumes/Macintosh HD/Library/Caches
    2./Volumes/Macintosh HD/System/Library/Caches
    3./Volumes/Macintosh HD/Users/donna/Library/Caches

    with the exception of
    1./Volumes/Macintosh HD/Library/Caches/com.apple.LaunchServices-0230.csstore

    2./Volumes/Macintosh HD/Library/Caches/com.apple.LaunchServices-023501.csstore

Seems like this kind of restart does the trick. I have to do this once or twice a week or more in order for her to be productive.

    http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...nupdate10.html

That update is for Mac OS X 10.5 only (not 10.5.1, 10.5.2, etc.). It was released a year and a half ago, and has been rolled up inside of other updates which have been issued since then. If your wife is running the latest version of Leopard, then she doesn't need this installed -- it's already installed.

If you can be more specific about what "random keychain issues" she's having, perhaps we can be of assistance in correcting those issues.

The only other key chain issue occurred "once" when browser key chain and certificates failed in all browsers, but a restart cleared that up.
    now its strictly dealing with:

"it seems to not always join the wifi at office or home unless I trash contents of cache folders of
    1./Volumes/Macintosh HD/Library/Caches
    2./Volumes/Macintosh HD/System/Library/Caches
    3./Volumes/Macintosh HD/Users/donna/Library/Caches"

    2-3 times a week!?
