Unhappy Quicktime plugin don't work with Firefox 3.0.7

I make a big research and can't find a solution to make Quicktime plugin work with Firefox.

This is the versions:
Firefox -> 3.0.7
Mac OS X -> 10.5.6
Quicktime -> 7.6 (472)
Language -> English

The plugin is already installed but refuse do work and Firefox ask to install a new plugin, than it can't find a correct plugin.

In Safari Quicktime plugin work fine.

Thanks about some help.

What is the format of the content that you want to view? If you don't know that, then give a link to the problematic web page.

That link works fine for me in Firefox 3.07, OS X 10.5.6, QT 7.6.

Can you check the version of this file, navigate to-
/Library/Internet Plug-ins/QuickTime Plugin.plugin
Do a 'command I' on it and let us know what version is shown under general info?

Also try create a new user on your mac and test under that user.

I hove a problem like this too in Safari, I solve this changing the system language for Portuguese to English. In case of Safari the problem is a Apple language bug of Brazilian Portuguese. Maybe this make Firefox do a wrong configuration.

What can I do?

Yes... I solve the problem.

I make a copy of these folders from new account to my account:

Library -> Application Support -> Firefox
Library -> Application Support -> Mozilla

Now work fine.

Thanks
