Unhappy Mac OS X installer unexpectedly quits

Hi there, I have a re-occurring problem which I can't solve.
When I try installing any software the installer unexpectedly quits. I'm currently trying to load Xampp, I've done it on a new imac with no problems but that a colleagues machine I need it working on my own mac.

I've repaired disk permissions and repaired the disk from the install disk that didn't work.

I'm using
Mac OS X 10.5.6
4 x 2.5 Ghz PowerPC G5
2.5 GB DDR2 SDRAM

In Console I get the following information which means nothing to me!!!

Can any one help? I've had the problem for a long time and its driving mad!

many thanks

Grant

Did you solve the Mac OS issue?

I'm having the same problem, but I have two hard-drives and I've tried 3 differing versions of OS X, none wll intall, they all crash half way through the process of installing and they go to a command line with errors, like yours does. Did you ever find a solution? We can't be the only ones. I have a G4 tower, Power PC. I haven't used the computer in a year now!
