minimann42 is on a distinguished road
alternative webcam

I know this question has been asked before, but there's a twist. Can I use my old Casio QV8000 camera for a webcam? I am running my video out cable from the camera to a Pyro external video capture card into a Mini via firewire. When I open iChat and goto the Jabber list and click on the video camera icon next to my account, I sure enough see myself in the video window, live. I have done a video chat with a friend using Google Voice, and I can see him, but he only gets me in audio form. The video chat options when in iChat are grayed out. Where is the breakdown? The capture card is recognized in the menu in prefs, but no picture still. Suggestions?
