Trying to play the sims but i can't

I've installed the Sims for mac and i can't play it! I've uninstalled and reinstalled a couple times now and each time i still get the same message, which is "the sims unexpectedly stopped working - please report this error to mac" I can start it up and about 2 seconds later it just quits on me. Any help? Please.
