Change Machine Name - iBook G4

I just purchased an iBook G4 (great laptop) from a friend and I have completely tuned the machine to my needs. There is one thing that I have not been able to do however and I'm hoping you can help me.

I want to change the machine name from 'abc' to 'dan' but when I try to do this (I think I found it under Sharing or Network), the iBook tells me that I can not do this because it is used by the MAC O/S (or some very similar error message).

Is there a way to change the machine name on my iBook G4 so that it reads my name as opposed to my friends name?
