    error when starting an microsoft office application

    Hello

    i have a problem with microsoft office

    i have a MAC OSX 10.5.6 and microsoft office 2008 for mac

    when i start, entourage, word, excel or power point, the application run for a second and then i have a message error saying :

    and the same message for other applications.
    i have done nothnig wrong (i guess so) it just happened.

    anyone can help please?

    as I am running on MAC OSX 10.5.6 , is it necessary to upgrade to "Mac OS X 10.5.6 Combo Update".

    I don't have the 2008 version but with the past versions one could launch the Microsoft program while holding down the 'option' key and it will ask one to have it rebuild the Microsoft database.

    Everyone knows how Microsoft LOVES central databases with all their products.

    Thanks for your reply.
    actually i just re install the office and it works again.

    the only thing is that i won't know what happend, and this remind me my privous life with Windows. things happen, dissaper and you never know why.

    Well office is microsoft, so it is normal

    A side note, did you upgrade Office 2008 to the latest version, 12.1.5 - I had issues with several components until I did this.

    yes after the re installation i received automatically new update 12.1.7

    Oops, seems I am behind the times now I left the update checker on manual.
