PS7 Upgrade to CS4, Final Cut Pro ugrade as well?

I'm stuck in a dilemma.

I have a 2001 iBook, upgraded to Tiger. It has Photoshop 7 installed. I do not have the CD or license key for this software any longer.

I just bought a brand new 2.4ghz MacBook. I can't get the Photoshop to open after I migrated the machines using "Migration Assistant". After some research in forums such as this one, it looks like the old Photoshop will not work on my new computer.

Ok, now what?

Can I upgrade to the CS4? Can I just buy the upgrade instead of the entire version? I would like CS4 on my new mac, where it will run gloriously fast. (i upgraded my memory to 4ghz).

Same issue with Final Cut Pro as well. I think I have FCP 3. Can't get it to migrate either. When I open the application on my macbook, it tells me to reinstall using the disc. I don't have the disc! Sadness ensues.

Help?

Sadly, for either of those, you'll need either: a) the serial number, or b) the original install disks to prove to Apple/Adobe that you have purchased a valid license for those pieces of software.

I believe that FCP shows you your serial number in the launch splash screen -- Photoshop, I don't know about serial number retrieval.

Your best bet would be to contact both of those companies, explain your dilemma (have no proof of licensing), and ask them about the best course to get upgrade pricing on CS4 and FCP4.
