Using Cinema Display with Mac mini

I have just purchased a 2009 edition Mac mini and would like to use my 20" Cinema Display with it. My brother has an aftermarket ADC DVI adapter that I can use. My question is this: will the image quality suffer in transfer with the aftermarket adapter as compared with the Apple adapter?

It's very unlikely. As long as the adapter is in good shape with no damage (e.g. stressed or broken cable connections or pins.) then it should do the job.
