Backup 3 (3.1.2) menus are grayed out

I used Backup on my iBook G4 to backup my HD to an iDisk, but since moving to a MacBook (and Apple moving from .mac to MobileMe) I can no longer use Backup. All menu options are grayed out and inaccessible. I have a valid MobileMe account, and I can access the iDisk through there.

Has anyone experienced this problem? Any ideas?
