iskysoft video downloader

I downloaded iskysoft video downloader, and it isn't working at all. I put in the correct admin password, and it's just sitting on the "Getting Started" page. It's not recognizing any videos playing - like it said it would "automatically detect." What can I do? I have also tried to download movies from Youtube by double clicking the link in "window/activity" and all it does is restart the movie. Nothing is working! Can someone please help? I have a MacBook with OSX 10.4
