Are you booting the G4 into Target disk mode?

Nope! I knew there was something obvious I was missing. How does one go about doing that?

With the G4 powered off, connect the two computers via Firewire. If both computers were off, start up the G5 normally. With the G5 on and the G4 off, power up the G4 pressing the "T" key until the Firewire symbol starts moving about the screen. Then proceed to Migration Assistant.

THanks, everything went smoothly except it didn't see, to get it all. I got all of my apps except iTunes, I got all my pictures, and no documents. So i uninstalled iTunes and now I'm re-running Migration Assistant. |

Ok, so that didn't do anything in the way of restoring my iTunes to what it is on my G4. I didn't get my documents or fonts or brushes for Photoshop, either. Am I doing something wrong? Should I just copy my fonts and brushes over manually? How do I fix my iTunes problems? That's the most pressing issue at the moment, I need music! XD Should I just rip it all off of my iPod and hope for the best? |
