Error 36. can't transfer filesto network

I am unable to transfer image files over to a network that i am properly connected too.

When I copy and paste or drag and drop the files into the network folder one of these two messages appear. (Mostly error - 36)

"The Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in ".DS_Store" could not be read or written. (Error code - 36)

"Sorry, the operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occurred. (Error Code -51)"

I have made sure all my internet sharing options are open.

I am using Mac OS X version 10.5.7

I'd really appreciate any kind of help available. Please ask if you need any other info as well.
