 Applications disappearing in the applications folder i have a PBG4 500MHz and my OS is 10.2.4. Suddenly all the applications in the /Applications disappeared. altough i cannot see them on the finder, they are there, i can lunch them from dock for example. to make them reappear again i have to comment + click (Show in Finder). However if i go to terminal and look into the folder (/Applications) i don't see any applications. when i restart the computer they are all gone again. at the same time, it get really slow in starting up. what is going on?!! please help!  |

| When you can see your programs, run Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility -> Repair Permissions and see if that helps. If you can never see the contents of the Applications folder, boot from your OS X install CD (has to be a Jaguar CD) and from the Installer menu at the top, choose Disk Utility and Repair Permissions from there.
