| PowerBook G4 crashes in sleep mode
Hi, I've a problem with my PowerBook G4 (12-inch DVI and Mac OS X 10.4.11). When I close the lid or when I manually try to make it sleep from the apple menu, it goes into sleep mode put only for 1 second and then shuts off (crashes). So instead of being able to wake up the computer, I have to boot it up from off. Can anyone help me with this problem ? Thanks in advance for the help ! |

Do you mean completley off, or when you open it back up again, you have to push the power button and boot back up? Try a PRAM, And NVRAM Reset |

Thank you for your answer. Yes, when I close the lid, my PowerBook is completly off. I tried to reset the PMU, the PRAM and the NVRAM. Unfortunately ... nothing changed. |

Have you checked your Energy options? System Preferences>Energy Saver. I don't think thats your problem though, Maybe you need to actually change your PMU battery. |
