| DVD stuck in iBook G4
DVD in slot drive will play on computer, but when I hit eject button (or use one of the other many methods of ejecting) there is a grinding sound as if the mechanism is trying to eject, but the DVD is getting physically hung-up in there. I've prodded around with a business card, and it seems like there is something on the right side of the slot that is blocking it. It does not move when I press eject.

Reboot hold down the mouse button. This should try to push out anything in the drive itself before the OS X startup.
