Burning Yahoo Messenger Question

How in bloody hell can I erase old screen names and/or history on Yahoo Messenger, using a Mac? Possible? Had three names on yahoo over the years, got rid of names and messenger a year ago. Just dl'd yahoo messenger again and there were the names. Don't notice option to delete. Possible? Also, is it possible to erase messenger history overall. The former more important than the latter, but if anyone has leads, I'd be grateful.
Thanks in advance everyone.

John

Log in from yahoo in web, and delete the accounts you don't want to use.
The log in from yahoo or any yahoo clone (Adium, Pidgin, Fire, Proteus.. you name it, they all do yahoo messenger among other protocols) googleboy and done. Gone.

Deleted said yahoo accounts a year ago, yet when I downloaded yahoo messenger, they were still on the yahoo ID list. Navigated to 'computer name' > 'hard drive name' > 'users' > 'user name' > 'library' > 'preferences' and deleted old names, restarted computer, names are still there. What now? Would a "cleanse" app be any help at all? Wouldn't think so.

Keychain.
[hd]/Appliations/Utilities > Keychain
If you ever used yahoo with that account and saved the login details on your Mac, they are still saved in it. So find the login and delete the correct entry from it.

Did that, restarted computer, names are still there. I don't know, I don't get it. Thanks for the help. Very frustrating.
If it makes a difference, I have version 3.0 beta 4.
