| Trouble installing Classic onto 10.4
Hi- I have 10.4 installed and need Classic to run some apps. I didn't have install cds but went to my local Apple store and the salesman copied a dmg onto a cd that contained Classic on it for 10.4. Inside the dmg is the system folder, desktop and applications folders. How do I install it so I can run classic apps?

Make sure that Applications folder on your CD is named 'Applications (Mac OS 9)' Drag those folders to the root level of your hard drive. And - try out Classic. Hopefully, there will be enough of the system there for it to work. I know that others simply leave that OS 9 system on a CD, so before copying those files, try opening Classic in your System preferences. If that will work, then you don't need to copy anything to your drive, but simply insert your Classic system CD whenever you want to use Classic...

What should I do if the app that I want to run using classic is on CD?

What should you do? Try the app, see if it works. Just curious - what apps do you need to use?
