Transferring from entourage to native

I am using Office 2008 Entourage with MAC OSX 10.5.8. The problem with Entourage is related to synchronization, especially down to phones. The synchronization is cumbersome and non-predictable, especially between Entourage and Address Book contacts.

One alternative would be to use iMail, Address Book (extended with Bento) and iCal.

Question #1 is to transfer approximately 30000 mails in 150 partially hierarchical folders from Entourage to iMail retaining the structure built over ten years.

Question #2 is to build additional fields to Adress Book for the various fields in Entourage contacts, includin Categories, Other, oersonal etc.

Good advice?
