If everything else works then, then the next thing I would suspect is a Firefox plug-in... perhaps one that is preventing a page from loading content hosted on another server. What plug-ins do you have for Firefox? Any "ad-blocking" plugins or filters? Can you try disabling plug-ins then seeing if the problem rectifies itself?

Disabling and uninstalling would yield the same result, unfortunately. Got any virus protection on there? Symantec or anything?

nope, no protection. i now use safari, thats more convenient and faster. but i want my plugins back firefoxplugins where so cool, and there are only a few for safari.but thank you anyway, guys. this problem with firefox is not solved, but i'm trying to get used to safari and then everythings fine as well i'll drink a beer for you |
